Hi there!
I’m planning a trip to the States this Sep for 2 weeks. Coming from London town, I wanna check out LA, San Fran, Vegas, maybe New York, and throw in a few national parks while I’m at it.
I’m thinking about spending around £1200 on the tour itself. Planning to land a couple of days early, you know, just to explore a bit on my own before the whole tour starts.
This is going to be my first solo trip and my first visit to the US. Does anyone here have any good recommendations for youth travel groups? I’ve done a bit of research and found Contiki, Intrepid, G Adventures, and Topdeck, but the reviews are a bit of a mixed bag.
Was thinking about Contiki at first, but it sounds more like a 24/7 party scene, and at 26, I’m looking for something a little more balanced. There’s this Topdeck tour that goes through LA, Vegas, and New York, but it’s a bit out of my budget.
What I really want is something that’s a perfect mix of culture, nature, and partying, you know?
Would appreciate any pointers x
You might find it a bit challenging to tick all those boxes for £1200 or under. Adding on NY and San Fran blows your budget because of the internal flights or train rides. The US is pretty massive and getting from one side to the other adds quite a bit to the budget!
You could just do the West Coast which will be much cheaper. There are plenty of tours that do LA and Vegas, and even throw in some national parks.
If you’ve got your heart set on New York, maybe you could look at doing that separately.
Safe travels!
